(2024)

Lunar is a series of digital weavings based on the first images of the far side of the moon transmitted to Earth line by line by a USSR space probe in 1959. Meanwhile, on the other side of the Iron Curtain, many Americans questioned the billions spent on the lunar mission amid poverty and racism. With both front and back sides visible, the weavings invite reflection on the space race, and its social and political implications.
